      Great to hear you are working through your pre-first flight checks.
      
      Just chiming in on the angle that this thread took concerning brake strength. 
      When I first started taxi testing, my brakes did not seem to hold hardly anything,
      much less run-up RPM.  Once I performed the manufacturer's "conditioning
      procedure" and burned them in, holding for run-up and higher RPM was no problem.
