    From: "Ron Lendon" <ron.lendon@gmail.com>
Friends, Today finished with 26 flight hours since last Saturday mornings first flight. Everything is going well, I have my own prop on it, much and many thanks to Roy S. for loaning me his so I could keep moving forward. Expanding the flight envelope now and chasing clouds and following rivers to help determine the airplanes capabilities. Speeds are improving as I adjust the feathers and reduce the drag. Having done a little redesign work with the metal nose bowl and a little different on the exit, temps were my major concern. I am happy to report the temps are looking good. This project would never have been possible for me without all the help provided by the WW Corvair movement. I am a firm believer of letting others be the pioneers (and them getting all the arrows) and learning from and purchasing the products they develop. The Corvair Colleges provide hands on training that you won't find anywhere else and the Corvair Movement has many winners associated with it. So if you need some motivation, keep at it, touch your project every day and make little daily successes for achieving your dream of flying your own airplane. My project got sidetracked several times but I managed to get back at it and kept making forward progress daily. Use the expertise of others and don't be shy about asking questions. Poking holes in the sky with my Chevy and making CorvTrails (Corvair Contrails) Big smile! Every year my church has Vacation Bible School (VBS) for 200+ kids. We go all-out with activities=2C decorations and celebrations. This year=2C the theme was "Sky." Mike Robitaille and I filmed a little video in my plane that we used as a promo. This is definitely aviation related=2C but it doe s reference God a couple of times. You have been warned! When they played this video clip in church people actually yelled and applauded! http://player.vimeo.com/video/45211499 VBS started this morning. I plan to fly over the church area and talk to t he kids via radio later in the week. Keep building and flying. Phil Maxson 601XL-B/Corvair Northwest New Jersey

Argh! "Due to the complexity of U.S. export regulations, McMaster-Carr accepts international orders only from our established customers. This decision also applies to orders shipping within the United States, because it is based on the final destination of the items. We cannot accept this order or future orders."

Hi Carlos, If you are unable to find the plastic you need then please tell me the part number at McMaster Carr. I can order from them and "Export" it to you. I will also need you mailing address. Paul, thanks a lot, that's very kind of you. I can source it locally (i.e., somewhere in Canada), but it was just much more convenient and a bit cheaper to get it from McMaster. And I also wanted to check they would send it here, as something similar happened several years ago. What a fun VBS theme and promotion. Great use of your personal time machine to capture the imagination of those 200 kids! Larry Winger CH650B/Corvair wiring phase

The Sky Tec guys are great! I broke the Al casting on an O-200 starter by using the wrong bolt thread and they replaced it no charge. Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=377809#377809
