Corvair powered 601XLB For Sale.
Upcoming move and job change have force me to sell my aircraft.
First, the positives: It is finished and flying, painted, Garmin GPS, Icom radio,
Transponder, Aveo strobes. Corvair engine build by me using William Wynnes
plans and parts, Weseman 5th bearing, MA-3SPA carb, Warp drive prop. 10 hours
into the phase one testing.
Now, the negative. I had a hard, nose-heavy landing, causing some damage to the
nose gear and nose gear supporting brackets. 10-15 hours of work and a few
hundred dollars will fix it up as good as new. My stupid piloting mistake can
be a HUGE cost savings for you with a little sweat equity. Im offering the entire
airplane for $22,000. Or I can part it out. Airframe (firewall back) for
$17,000 (a completed airframe for about the cost of the kit). Engine (everything
fire wall forward, including prop, cowling, spinner and engine mount) for
$7000. Located in my hanger in Livermore, California (LVK). Please contact
