From: "Gary Ray" <davgray@sbcglobal.net> Ron Lendon mentioned the extra long take off run with wet wings when he left Broadhead. And you can see this on the video of his departure on the Zenith site. I have had this happen twice. Once leaving Brennand airport 10 miles north of Oshkosh and again leaving Mexico, Mo. at the factory open house. Both times I had water droplets on my wings from overnight in the rain. Both times I experienced a much longer take off run and a 400 lb over gross feeling on climb out that lasted until I had climbed the first five hundred feet. At first I thought I might have accumulated a water ballast somewhere in my aircraft but it turned out to be caused by the water droplets on the outside skin. I am thinking for the future I will carry a towel to wipe off the wings and tail and take a second look at the runway length and departure path. I really did not see it coming until it happened to me. Not proud that it took me two times to figure it out. Gary Ray
