Carlos,
I don't know if the 650 uses the
same spring as the 601. I only mention this because myself and many
others found the original 40# spring on the 601 to be inadequate, and
changed it out for a 60#. The 40# would hold the canopy up, but
couldn't be trusted in even the slightest breeze. If you don't find a
satisfactory solution, I'd be willing to middle-man one from M-C for
you.

Can someone provide a source for the CH650 canopy gas spring? (there's
a joke in here somewhere...)
I know McMaster-Carr sells it, but they do not ship outside the USA,
so it does not work for me.
I found two or three sources in Canada, but they don't seem to sell
retail (I wrote to them today).
I'd appreciate any pointers you might have.
