Afterfxllc AT aol.com You stand corrected again. You said you cannot prop a Lycoming with fuel injection. I have a Lyc. with fuel injection and have hand propped it more than once. As long as you have enough battery power to operate the fuel pump. -- George H. Inman ghinman@mts.net

Hi Guys, This goes to show how tricky this can get. Summer 2011 I flew to Osh Kosh with a friend and we got stuck in his RV-6 with an IO-360. WE tried hand propping and were told by the A&P on the field you could not hand prop a fuel injected engine! Whether or not that is true I really don't know. But I do know we could not get that engine to start by propping it to save our lives. When we installed the new starter from ACS she fired right up on first try. So go figure! =0A=0AIn the 601XLB, the plans show clearly that the mount fitting 6B6-4 do es not sit atop of the lower flange for 6B7-2. Hello, Bill I spoke to Caleb this morning and he sent me a couple of drawings showing the parts exactly as you described. (The 6B... parts did not exist in the CH601 plans, reason why I couldn't figure.) Thanks for the explanation Carlos On 13 November 2012 12:37, William Dominguez <bill_dom@yahoo.com> wrote: > > In the 601XLB, the plans show clearly that the mount fitting 6B6-4 does > not sit atop of the lower flange for 6B7-2.
