I've seen ones that were bent on a brake, not formed like the one in your picture. Not as pretty or compact but they worked. -- Craig From: owner-zenith-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-zenith-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of Joe Sent: Monday, February 04, 2013 12:09 PM Subject: Zenith-List: Nav. light, tail Has anyone on the list seen a metal strobe light bracket. Joe, Daniel Dempsey made one, and if you google it, chances are you will find more examples http://daniel.dempseyfamily.us/zodiac/index.html I believe the same process used to make calbe fairings can be used: http://www.ch601.org/tools/rudder%20cable.htm Good luck Carlos CH601-HD On 4 February 2013 15:09, Joe <Joe@hambrothers.com> wrote: > ** > Has anyone on the list seen a metal strobe light bracket. Hi Joe, I've not seen metal ones but fiberglass isn't too hard to do if you go from a clay shape, to a mold, to a layup. I got a fiberglass fairing from Zenith. It took a bit of filling and sanding, but I think it looks pretty good installed. Joe, I made my own from a piece of scrap ally. It has very simple bends. Make a template from cardboard and cut it out from Ally. Check out http://zodiac.cpc-world.com/images/IMG_1291_JPG.jpg and http://zodiac.cpc-world.com/images/IMG_0111_JPG.jpg for details.
