Carlos:
Take a look in AC 43-13 and even in ACS catalog. They will show how and
where it is done.

NJ has taken the next step. They are identifying cars with bad drivers.
You will notice some cars with a large red "R" on them. That is to
identify the drivers as "R"estricted. Restricted is just a polite way of
saying Bad Drivers. Be cautious around them.

Another tip -- I honestly can't recall why, but my EAA tech adviser (Mel
Asberry) told me to always clip off those sharp pointed tips on the thimble
.

Good point Jay. You are correct. I was told this was to keep the thimble
from binding against the nico press sleeve. I was also told to make sure to
smooth the ends you cut with a file so there is no burrs to rub on the
wire. Common sense really.

Yes, Jay:
The reason is if/when the cable flexes the eye ends do not cut/rub on the
enter & exit cable. BUT! You also have to smooth the eye by fine wheel
grinding.
