Does it return 100% back to its original size and bond strength? Which reflects back to Item #3. Too many variables. The K.I.S.S. M.E. part of this build has already passed. What has to be addressed now is Adherence - Corrosion Protection and Looks. The environment is quite protected from anything corrosive, unless you firewall mount the battery, which would require special consideration. I expect the galvanizing will look decent for a long time as is, certainly much better than curls of peeling paint, which I consider very possible if not likely. The side facing into the cockpit is covered with an aluminized firewall blanket. Tim -------- ______________ CFII Champ L16A flying Zodiac XL - Jabiru 3300A Almost done! It'll fly in spring! (understood, but generally not followed,) but what does the addition of M.E. stand for? Chris--- Don't bother to paint the firewall; it's not worth the effort.
