Leave it bare. It wont rust, theres no paint that might burn off and its easier to inspect for cracks and such. -- Bryan Martin N61BM, CH 601 XL, RAM Subaru, Stratus re-drive. > On Jan 5, 2015, at 4:49 PM, dfmoeller <dfmoeller@att.net> wrote: > > > What are peoples thoughts on painting the galvanized firewall? I didnt paint anything on the engine side. I glued an insulating blanket on the cabin side to help keep the heat and noise out. -- Bryan Martin N61BM, CH 601 XL, RAM Subaru, Stratus re-drive. > On Jan 5, 2015, at 4:49 PM, dfmoeller <dfmoeller@att.net> wrote: > > > What are peoples thoughts on painting the galvanized firewall? Does it return 100% back to its original size and bond strength? Which reflects back to Item #3. Too many variables. The K.I.S.S. M.E. part of this build has already passed. What has to be addressed now is Adherence - Corrosion Protection and Looks.
