Hi,
I'm Maik from Germany and a new member of this list. I found it via Google
and saw some others here referencing parts and/or plans specfic to the CZA
W
versions of the CH601XL.
I bought my plane from somebody else who bought it from the original
builder. Unfortunately the builder died in a car accident. And the previou
s
owner did not get any plans from the builder.
Also, Zenair had no knowledge about my serial number. So it looks like CZA
W
produced a kit and did not license it properly. CZAW made changes to some
parts and not being officially registered, Zenair does not have any
documentation about those planes anyway.
Hence I'm trying to find somebody having plans of CZAW models, ideally
between 2003 and 2005. The order date of my kit from CZAW was Oct 31, 2003
.
It was originally a sea plane with floats and was converted into a land
version later by CZAW between September and December 2005
I did pay Zenith for a reference copy of Jan 2003 plans and also have
updated plans from 2005 and 2008. So I'm already legally owning the drawin
gs
of the intellectual property of Zenith and asking others to share somethin
g
that includes what I already have would be less of an issue I assume.
All I'm looking for is to find out the specs of CZAW models anyway. For
example, the entire landing gear including different brakes, wheels,
brackets for the wheel pants, the wheel pants itself , the flap control ar
m,
the torque tube stop (drawing 6-B-17CZ). Basically any drawing that includ
es
a CZ for the CH601XL.
Is there anybody who could help me here?
