Even if you plan long legs, an accurate measure of the upper half of the tanks
is relatively unimportant. Accurate readings from 10 gal in each tank on down
gives you plenty of time to compare your actual fuel burn to what was planned,
and modify your plan as required. That's assuming you're not doing 5 hour legs
over open water or other places with no options for landing other than your
      departure and destination airport.

As more and more of the participants on this forum provide information, what I

suspect (but don't know) is that the players have created two companies for
liability purposes. If AMD is legally disconnected from the kits, then they
probably cannot be sued if someone builds a kit and does considerable damage
to themselves or someone else with it. But an attorney would need to give the
      final word on that conjecture.

Up to this point, I had believed (incorrectly) that AMD and Zenith were the
same company. That evidently is not the case.

No, I actually didn't bid (although I considered it). But Pavel is active on
the list (or has been). Look like he lives in SoCal.

As expected the bidding picked up at the end and the engine went for $4383 -
a good deal if it works out.
