Subject: | Going, Going, 601XL Gone? |
I'm going to the rudder workshop in Oct. I got an interesting call from the ZAC
on Monday the 16th. I was asked if I was doing a 601XL or a CH650. I was going
to build a 601. I was told that after Sept. they would not be offering the 601,
but since I had registered in Aug. I would be one of the last 601's. When
I told the finance committee (read Wife) we started to question availability because
this will not be a build it in 18 months deal. Long story short, we called
back and up graded to the 650.

Subject: Rotax 912s water pump outlet
I have installed the engine to the engine mount and the cylinder
cooling hose is interfering with the
Mount is it possible to modify the rigid water out let in
Rotax 912s water pump outlet or at the cylinder?
Any other solution?
Thanks

I believe the water pump outlet can be "clocked" to a number of different
positions. See the last few pages in the 701/Rotax-ring-mount guide (section
2) and the first few pages of section 3 (which also cites the Rotax Heavy
Maintenance Manual II, section 13.3.10 page 59 for water pump
reinstallation):

This is for a ring mount on a 701 but the rotation of the water pump outlet
should be the same.
