Initially, there may be similar issues with insurance.
When I spoke to an insurance agent a while ago he wanted me to get a
couple of hours in a similar aircraft to cover my first flight. When
I pressed him on what was a similar aircraft his answer was anything
with a "601" in its model. That meant an HD, XL, etc. but not a 650.

For what it's worth, there is more in common between the XL and the 650 than there
is between the XL and the HD/HDS.
I'd build the 650 and then register it as whatever is most advantageous at time
you are nearing completion. A lot can happen between now and then.

Remove the water pump housing and heat with a hot air gun , then turn
the water socket to a new position , preferably move , clean and apply
loctite 648 then set it the correct place.
This goes also for the cylinder head tubes.

Subject: Rotax 912s water pump outlet
I have installed the engine to the engine mount and the cylinder
cooling hose is interfering with the
Mount is it possible to modify the rigid water out let in
Rotax 912s water pump outlet or at the cylinder?
Any other solution?
Thanks
