So finally it arrive last Friday, wow what alot of stuff in that big box!
Now got stuck in to the rudder, but will come to a halt soon as its too cold
to spray primer in the garage at the moment even with a heater on , getting about
      8-10 deg c .
Do you guys apply the primer as you build or wait until you have a large batch
IE all the rudder and stab together?

Great to read all the comments on the list and the builders web sites like Matts
zodiac etc , gives me confidence and hope.

      Cheers

| Subject: | Re: Nose Wheel Bearings, Preload, & Spacers...? |

      Patrick/Paul,

I initially tightened my nose wheel bearing just I do on a car. This is to pre-load
it, and then back off just a touch to that sweet spot between too-tight
and too-loose. After I started flying, I noticed grease being flung out of the
bearing. Remember, the bearing has the seal integral to it. I talked to my
Tech Counselor and he told me not to treat it like I would a car and tighten
it up just a bit to get more sealing action out of it. Like he said, the nose
wheel is not meant to drive coast-to-coast or see the heat like a car does.
After re-packing the bearings with grease, I ended up tightening the nut one castleation
and have not had any issues since.

      Good luck,

      Hello Kev,

Congratulations. When building read twice the manual, take a good look at
the photo book and if you consider you need extra help I recommend the
      Homebuilthelp DVDs and this forum,

Regarding your question I use Valentine Epoxy Primer (www.valentine.es)
easy to get in Europe and I wait until I have a nice batch.

      Take care,

Applied as I built. Used Zinc Chromate spray cans and plenty of ventilation.
Sprayed only those areas where two pieces met.

Did you get the Quick Build Kit? I did. Used the Jabiru 3300A engine.
