Or is it only required on aircraft with the original, narrower elevator trim tabs? Thanks. I saw a flight test report that was issued by the test pilot of the UK LAA. He wrote that the aircraft is not trimmable with full flaps extended, even with the full width elevator trim. I think this could have a large impact on the trim required under some conditions like full flaps. From: "PatrickW" Getting ready to order my canopy kit (650 style for XL). Does anybody have any experiences or horror stories regarding shipment of that big plastic bubble in the winter? Does it stand up well to the rigors of being bounced around on trucks & loading docks during the winter? I live in MN. Does anyone know the dimensions of the crate? From: jaybannist@cs.com Patrick, Last month, I went with a friend to Mexico, MO, to get his XL QB kit.? We loaded all the parts in a 22' truck, padded and tied down.? When we left Mexico, it was 16 degF.? The truck suspension was real stiff and all the roads seemed really rough. We bounced a lot!? The canopy bubble (and everything else) came through OK.? If you are having your's delivered, ZAC will crate it.? I can assure you that they know what they are doing when it comes to crating.? You have nothing to worry about, unless someone does something really stupid, like ramming the crate with fork truck forks, or dropping a crate from 6' up.
