Top went fine and all is jigged ok. Th bottom skin at the inboard end is fine but nearer the outer end the distance from front to back spar is a little shorter than the pre drilled skin. This means I have 2,5mm over hang on the trailing edge and the front edge distance is tight to the bend radius. What is the minimum rivet to the bend radius thats OK ? I cant see how this dimension can be changed as the ribs are as supplied and the skin drilled on both the front and back , if only it was blank at the front I could get it spot on. I am puzzled and worried about this. Kev -------- Austria ............. I only found out after I had pilot drilled it! You may find, like I did, there is low edge distance on the rib lower flange where the rib flange joggles over the spar cap. Your vertical shims moved while riveting the top skin, inducing an axial twist in the wing. Duplicate the plans set-up and see if there are any gaps in the shim contact points. If you have gaps the easiest thing to do is to make new skins from sheet stock. Not the cheapest or least time consuming, but easiest in the long run. 2. Measure the pre-drilled holes for the ribs along the spar and make sure they're plus/minus 2mm. I've experienced both, some my fault, some Zenith's. My best advice is to nail the skeleton down while attatching the skins. Picture attached.
