I don't have the planes in front of me right now, but I can tell you they don't show much. All it shows is the standard "L" angle running the longitudinal length of the wing, parallel to the main spar, at the same distance from the spare as the rear of the wing locker. That's it, there are no details of intersections with the ribs, how the connection is made with the ribs, overlap for connecting pieces etc. Rivets are A40 at pitch 100. Seriously, that's all the there is. There is no detail of what happens at the wing tip either. As this is purely cosmetic, my take on it is that it doesn't really matter much how you do it. The only thing I would add is that the rivet line to rivet line distance is 425mm from L angle to rear upper spar cap on the wing spar. I have dual sticks in my 601XL/650 and because I'm 6'6" , I'm considering doing away with the center console. The challenge is then placement of the fuel selector. Any ideas? -------- Larry Winger Tustin, CA Plans building 601XL/650 with Corvair Control surfaces and wings complete Fuselage ready to rivet www.mykitlog.com/lwinger Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=229676#229676

I've bought a 601 HDS kit that's nearly finished so I have a lot less experience building than most of you. The previous owner assembled without painting any of the chro-moly parts so I'm dismantling them to do that. The 3/8" bolts that hold the landing gear to the wing have loose nuts inside the landing gear. As wellas being nearly impossible to get at the nuts are hidden by bungies. (I'm told later models have captured nuts.) How do hold the nuts to remove the landing gear? If there is a tool to do this could you please post a photo of it as I don't know where to start. Thanks, Greg. [Question] [Question] Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=229684#229684
