List,
Have the 3300 with FWF kit from Jab.USA. Have been reading everything I can find
on "contactors" ( AeroElectric, various Matronics lists, etc.). Do not understand
most of it... so, my question is: Do I need to add one or more "Contactor"
to my installation?
I am not an EE, nor much of an electrician...just trying to understand what the
Contactor might buy me. Planning an all-glass panel, if that makes any difference?
Please don't throw electrical theory at me...I'm just looking for a simple explanation
why I should or should not consider putting contactors on. If so, which
one?
Thanks,
Mike

It looks like the NTSB finished up their examination of Ken Lien's fatal
crash from back in August of 2008.
The long and the short of it is this:
..onsite examination of the airplane revealed that the carburetor's
mixture control lever was observed separated from its mixture shaft.
The full narrative:

I hope all builders including myself can learn something from his tragedy.

I noticed another comment - the final sentence of the NTSB report:
The mixture control cable was secured to the firewall, not to a
bracket on the engine.
This suggests to me the installation of the engine was not done
correctly. The report also indicates this was the maiden flight of the plane.
