From: "n85ae" Here's a Kitfox trailer I built. The back bar on the trailer swings open, and act as a bumper so to speak, for curious tailgaters. Not shown are the loading ramps. My friend rented a snow-mobile trailer to get his fuselage from this house to the hanger. It was just wide enough to do the trick. (and cheap). dennis hettrick wrote: > I hauled mine on a borrowed car trailer. I had an 8 ' deck and was > much longer than needed. We crossed the Canadian border with no > problems. Applefeld VMD" Subject: Zenith601-List: Aileron trim I am finally finished the rebuild on my 601HD and have flown again after 2 years. The left wing is exceptionally heavy. I have changed to wing incidence some and adjusted the aileron push rods. Both gave some improvement but did not correct the problem. I temporarily placed a fixed trim tab on the bottom of the right aileron and problem solved. However I am considering adding an adjustable aileron tab. My plans do not include drawings for this tab and I can find nothing on Zenith's builder's page or Ch601.org that gives plans. Can someone that has installed a tab on an HD or HDS contact me off-line as I have multiple questions like how to install a MAC servo. dimensions of a tab and where on the aileron to put it. I already have a MAC stick grip with buttons for elevator trim and extras for the aileron trim. Thanks for any help Jerry ________________________________ Message 4 _____________________________________ Time: 11:19:36 AM PST US From: Lee Steensland Subject: Zenith601-List: 601xl extended tank weight Has anyone weighted their tanks? Perhaps the pictures in the link will help. The electrical drawing would help you with the interconnections. This has worked well in my HDS. http://www.macsmachine.com/images/electrical/full/primary-wiring-(SH-2).gif www.macsmachine.com/html/trimtelevatortrimtabs.htm www.macsmachine.com/html/trimtailerontrimtabs.htm Good luck, Larry McFarland 601HDS at www.macsmachine.com Gerald A. From: "n85ae" It's all about weight, and balance. Even on a trailer. You gotta do a little bit of math and calculate the moments. You want to end up with about 100 lb.s on the tongue. Just putting the wheel's ... way back .. might work but it's not really the best way. It's not hard to do, just need learn to do some simple math, and get a spreadsheet and presto, instant trailer config. I'm wondering if any of you have links to photos showing how you did it to share. I have a plan but would like to see what others did for comparison.
