Hi folks,
I was at the airfield, today, doing the final assembly of my new 601UL. I had
in my mind the critical cable tension requirements and noticed that the tension
in both elevator cables increases as the elevators are pulled up. In fact,
when the elevators are full down the cables are actually quite slack.
Is this normal?
The geometry of the stick cable connection points and stick pivot point are fixed
by stuff done at the factory (CZAW!) as are the elevator horn cable connection
points and elevator hinge line. There doesn't seem to be anything I could
have done wrongly when I installed the cables.
Any ideas?
Andrew.

Mine do the same thing, I just rigged them so they don't go completely
slack at full forward.
