I am starting on the elevator horns and something appears to be amiss. I haven't cut any metal yet so I'm safe, but I can't figure out from the plans where to make the triangular cutout in the elevator for 6-t-3-6. As near as I can figure it's at least the length of the top flange on the skin (20mm) rearward from the front of the elevator, and at least big enough to take the 3/4 inch piece of extrusion (20mm). How did you guys come up with that dimension? Thanks! Look" Subject: Zenith601-List: Riveted fuel tanks Howdy All, I'm building my fuel tanks using rivets and ProSeal {or similar} and have everything figured out except for a threaded flange for the filler. The M142 used by Zenith has only about 5-6 mm flange width. Is that enough room to drill for rivets or no? Wicks lists the SPRL-TF but I can't find specs or a drawing of it anywhere. Is it big enough to rivet? Thanks Steve Steve Look Monticello, IL 601XL "Dogs have owners, Cats have staff" ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 03:49:54 PM PST US From: "John Brumpton" Subject: Re: Zenith601-List: Riveted fuel tanks Hi Steve Can you post some photos how you building the tanks Thanks John ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stephen R. One more question, kind of nit picking now I suppose. The bottom hole says "8 mm from the bottom bend". I basically laid a straightedge on the front spar and measured my 8mm from there. Is that right or should I start measuring 8mm from the flat, (after the bend)?
