Muffler -Heat Muff Larry! Thanks for the pics! They support the concept I have in mind. Combining the pics from the Zenith setup and yours I smell success. I think I will make the first one out of heavy card stock and then try and fold the actual metal once. Are you aware of a good source of spinners! I see the Cummins from Australia that Jabiru uses. Are there any others you can recommend for home built application? Thanks again! Muffler -Heat Muff Larry, Correct, not the muffler! Just the Muff on the outside of the muffler can for cabin heat The flanges for the scat tubing themselves from ACS are aluminum and with continuous air flow aluminum should be ok. Not trying to be cheap just frugal. I can make a few things and it saves hundreds of dollars if not more. Thanks for the comments. Muffler -Heat Muff Rich, I obtained my spinner and plates from UHS Spinners, PO Box 135, Markham, Ont. L3P 3J5 Phone 905 640 1534 Email uhs@istar.ca They make 8,9,10,11, 12 and 14 inch spinners. These are a fiberglass product that is quite good. Larry McFarland Rich Simmons wrote: > Larry! > > Thanks for the pics! > > They support the concept I have in mind. Currently have a prop on my wall that was destroyed 5 minutes into its' first flight after installing a replacement UHS spinner. The first UHS failed after flight through turbulence and the second because of a significant bubble in the resin. Picture attached. Question is, beyond your experience, is this a trend? I'll certainly be slower to use their product, particularly when they're in another country, and recourse may be more difficult.
