Subject: | Back in air after upgrade |
Before
F 282
L 238 R 227
After
F 283
L 243 R 227
The before no.s were taken with Scales that were not as accurate as the
after No.s.
The after no.s were taken with digital livestock scales that were very
accurate.
The heavy left wing always took a lot of trim solo, but dual, trim was
neutral.

Congratulations, David
It's great to see the fleet moving forward. Good luck with your resumed (I
assume) Phase I testing.
I don't know what you have planned for your testing, but if you happen to
include the ASI calibration using, e.g., the GPS-PEC method

I hope that you'll post the results. It'd be nice to have more data than
was presented by the FAA.

Is there a 601 XL manual online anywhere?
I'm curious whether the Maximum Zero Fuel Weight is listed in it.
The FAA and Zenith had different interpretations of the practical
meaning of the term (according to the recent FAA report), but in any
case if a value is used in strength calculations, then the chosen
value should be in the manual -- just as it would be for a large
aircraft where there is a MZFW limitation.
