Is anyone else having > this problem? > No, nor have I ever heard of a rivet turning blue. The act of setting a rivet of this kind generates a fair amount of heat internal to the rivet, which makes me wonder if this is some odd sort of chemical reaction. Did the rivet turn blue immediately after you set it, or did it wait a while - perhaps the same length of time it would take the rivet to cool? It's probably a silly question, but did you soak or coat the rivet with anything, or store them near a reactive chemical? -- ======================================= Jim B. Is anyone else having > this problem? Jeff, after chewing on this a bit, I have suggestion/offer. I bunged up a few rivets while setting them, and have some extras. None of mine turned blue. If you're in the CONUS, I could mail you a few of mine to try. If you set them and they turn blue, there's something in the process you're using. If they don't, there's some difference in the rivets, and you might want to think about getting some more rivets. -- ======================================= Jim B.
