Subject: | seeping header valve continued |
Hi Bill,
I should have included the following details as you noted.
I replaced my brass shutoff with a ball valve
http://www.macsmachine.com/images/headertank/full/ball%20valve.gif
That=92s described as a =BC NPT female, 600 WOG (water-oil-gas) 150 WSP
type
ball valve with yellow handle. I removed the handle
and modified the piece to accept my extension handle. The link above
shows
the valve as replaced and it works easier too.
On the milk house heater, I=92m modifying it to put the heat element
above the
floor by 24 inches or more to avoid fumes that might accumulate at floor
level. Some say 36 inches is better. Will post pictures when the heater
mods are complete and on my site.
Thanks and take care guys,
Larry McFarland at www.macsmachine.com
