From: "Sabrina" Jeff has a good point... some builders installed the arm near the third aileron rib rather than near the outboard rib. That would explain the primer line and the tear of the aileron at that rib. With such a nose dive impact, the weights and arm should not be visible, they would have left the craft and have been buried in the dirt. It is possible, as Jeff suggested, that all the upgrades were followed. Could it be that the airplane got in trouble and did not have enough elevator authority, for whatever reason, to get out of it? This series of photos does seem to show that all the major parts of the airplane are still attached. And it does seem to have impacted vertically, nose first. I can't think of many scenarios that could cause this kind of crash in this aircraft. Low altitude upset? Jammed flight controls? Pilot incapacitation? We'll have to wait for further investigation for any answers. It would seem that whether or not the plane was modified to "B" configuration is irrelevant given that the plane appears to have been intact when it hit the ground. But it's hard to tell very much for certain from a few photographs.
