Hello,
Some time ago - but I think this year - somebody posted some information
about bushings.
I spent a long while searching, but couldn't find neither the post nor the
product.
Does anybody remember it?
...and while I have your attention: the upper and lower rudder hinges have
different size holes (1/4" and 3/16" respectively), but the bushing is 1/4"
for both...??
Thanks
Carlos

Carlos,
The "fork" parts of the hinges have a 3/16" hole, for a AN3 bolt. The "ton
gue" parts of the hinges have a 1/4" hole for the 1/4" bushing. The bolt c
lamps the bushing between the "fork" parts to make a fixed "hole" for the "
tongue" part to rotate around. Drawing 6-S-5 for the 501XL shows this very
clearly.
Jay

John, thanks much for this!
I might go this way - but this is not what I was looking for... I think
the bushing this gentleman was talking about was something involving bronze
and teflon...
Cheers
Carlos

I think Larry Zepp had an article on bushings in the last Zenair Newsletter.
