The position of the forward fairlead seems a little vague and I find the drawing confusing. Does anyone have a copy of the portion of drawing 6B11 (01/08) showing the locations of holes for cables, wires, etc., in the side skin? Any info or pix will help. Thanks! The hole for the balance cable is right up against the seat back 6B5-1 (7mm away & 120mm from the floor), so there is a plain pie ce of nylon riveted to 6B5-1 to keep the cable from rubbing on the seat bac k. The hole for the aft cable is 110mm directly above the Z 6B1-7. Hope t his helps. One is for the s ide skin hole that is riveted to the side skin and the other one riveted to the aft side of the seat back just to protect it from possible rubbing by the cable. That one is at right angles to and does butt up against the sid e skin. This fairlead puts the cable very close to t he back side of the seat back. To make sure that the cable does not rub ag ainst the seat back, they put a piece of nylon on the back side of the seat back to keep that from happening. The next question is "How accurate is Zenith's placement of the holes? Do the cables run straight and true or are they being deformed a bit by the fairleads? I think the placement rea lly has to do with avoiding interferences within the fuselage, not making t he cables straight from point to point. I could easily be wrong about that since some builders have used pushrods instead of cables and those would h ave to be straight, point to point.
