From: Paul Mulwitz Digging through multiple news reports it seems the plane was not indeed a home built CH601. The FAA registry shows the plane, N4218, was an SLSA built by AMD. It was owned and seems likely flown by Rob Sherman of Bufalo Grove, IL.
