Here is an update on the Marengo, IL accident that destroyed an AMD SLSA
Zodiac XL. The preliminary NTSB report can be found at:

It seems clear to me that this was not an example of structure failure.
Rather it was a case of a Sport Pilot departing for a night flight and
failing to maintain control of his airplane.
As far as i know there is still no example of a Zodiac XL suffering
structure failure after installing the upgrade.
