The friction throttle of ANY sort sucks on a Rotax engine. The springs are so strong
trying to pull the throttle wide open that it becomes a dangerous situation
waiting for an accident to happen!
After 50 hours with an ACS friction throttle I changed to the ACS Vernier throttle,
much safer. It stays where you leave it without any creeping to a higher
throttle setting. It would happen to me in the air, on the ground or wherever.
If I got it tight enough so it didn't creep then I couldn't move it easily enough
to manipulate it for fine throttle adjustments taxing or landing.
After it crept up on me a few times while warming up I knew I had to do something
else with it.

Subject: | CH701 as glider tow |
Would it be feasible to use a CH701 as a glider tow? Has anyone ever tried
this? What special provision to the airframe would be a good idea to do
this? I'm not a glider pilot nor do I have the tow endorsement but it is
something I might want to try some day.
