I don't want to start anything, I think the Corvair is an awesome engine. I was
going to use one my self. Right up until I started thinking how the 701 can be
flown. If your going to always use 1000 ft of strip to land and take off.Then
its great, but as is the Corvair/701 combo will weigh in the neighborhood of
670lbs And this is with out the 5th bearing, which in my opinion is needed on
the 701 ,so add another 15-20 lbs to the weight.
Now that corvair 5th bearing and all, would fit right into a 750!
