Subject: | Diagonal bracing on Fuselage |
Hello List;
I am now well into my 701, wings and tail group complete and
hanging from the ceiling of my shop. I have a question regarding bracing the
fuselage sides. Between the "L"s are large areas of sheet metal which I
expect will oil can in flight. Anyone noticed this or am I just a worry wart?

I added "L" angle zig-zag bracing between the vertical "L's." Works
very well in reducing oil canning. (The factory demo also has this type
of bracing.) Some builders have used "X" bracing but I figure this just
adds extra weight and is overkill.
