Can't recall the proper name, but we always called it "dum-dum" (and I do not know
why).
Three or four inches wide, couple of feet long, has a piece of waxed paper inserted
to keep it from sticking to itself as it is sold as a roll. You pinch off
a bit, mold it around the hole.
HVAC techs use it to seal around refrigerant lines, etc. Looks a lot like Silly
Putty.
Won't burn, stays pliable at fairly low temps, doesn't cost much.
Maybe somebody has a 'real' name for it.
Regards,
Zed/23 degrees F this morning!

Around here it is sold as "Thum Gum". There may be other manufactures and
names.

One brand is "Flame Stopper 5000 Intumescent Sealant". It is sold by Ace Hardware
among others.
