Subject: | Snow and Zenair Wings |
As I was leaving work today, I noticed several Cessna 150s and 172s were still
sitting on their tails from the snow load on their horizontal stabs from a storm
last week. It got me wondering how the .016 skin on a CH701 holds up with
a snow load on it.
Anyone in snow country tie down outside, or does everyone have hangar/garage space?

701 is outside all winter and does well. Every morning I run out and
brush off the wings and fuselage if it has snowed. Cushions are stored
in the hanger. It has never been on it's tail, though the 172 tied right
beside the 701 is constantly on it's ass.
