Randall, Yes Methylene Chloride, Trichloroethylene, as per the info on .IPS -Weldon 3 "Clear, Water Thin, Very Fast Curing Solvent Cement" with a Plexiglas patch (Plexiglas from Lowe's), . See page 71 of latest ACS Catalogue; also Section 3 of AC 43.13-1B "Acceptable Methods, Techniques, and Practices Aircraft Inspection, Repair & Alterations" I procured the solvent cement from ACS, but could not find it in their current catalogue (may have been owlgored) - you may wish to call them if you can not get it, or see if Home Depot or Lowes carries it. I used a very fine hypo (you can get one from Wal-Mart or probably any pharmacy - the kind used by insulin users) to wick the cement between the patch and canopy, after stop drilling the crack.. The bond is pretty optically clear if done right. Hope this helps Tony Graziano 601XL/Jab3300; N493TG; 464 hrs ----- Original Message ----- From: Randall J. Well, I've gone and done it, I bought the 701 plans and they came last week. Just my luck though, I'll be working out of state for the month of Feb. and won't get to do anything but study the plans. Anybody building or flying a 701 near Lakeland, Fl?
