Joe,
Since quite a few others might be in the same situation, do you think it might
be helpful to other builders to post the response that Zenith sent you.

I called Zenith a few days ago and their answer was the one I was expecting:
Open up the stabilizer and move the mounts out. Since the existing holes
need to be filled, the mounts may need to be moved out slightly more than
10mm so the radius clears the rivet heads and shim slightly between the two
mounts.
Thanks,

You say the holes need to be filled with rivets? Why would an unfilled hol
e be less desirable than a filled hole? I can't believe that it would caus
e a higher stress concentration=2C and it's covered with the H.S. skin=2C s
o it is not aesthetic. Just wondering.

The holes that I am talking about filling are the ones in the spar.

Yes=2C that was what I was thinking as well. Did Zenith say you needed to
fill the holes for strength?
Well=2C I guess now that I am thinking about it=2C a filled hole would be s
tronger in compression.
I guess it's just something I never really thought about until now.
