Wouldn't the O-200 fall into the same kettle of fish as a "certified" altimeter?
Or AN fittings, or nav equipment....?
Seems to me that until the certification is REMOVED it is still certified.
Somebody jump in here with the "Rule" as it pertains to this.
An ELT ("certified") in a C-172 is okay. So if it is then removed from the 172,
installed in an ultralight and flown once, then put back into the C-172 is it
still certified?
