Has anyone had any experience covering their plane with vinyl.- I can't s
eem to think of any reason this would not be a good idea.- Cheap, won't d
etach,-lasts at least 10 to 15 years, many variations in colors and desig
n, light in weight, can remove easily and redo if you become tired of your
design.- Almost seems like cheating.-

I remember a post from Mark at CanZac saying that he paints his airplanes white
and uses decals. The point was that you could re-decal easily and cheaply when
you wanted to change the look. The post may have been on the yahoo list?
The Hummelbird in the last Sport Pilot issue is all decals over polished AL. It
looks pretty good.

I've used vinyl decals for striping and accents on smooth planes like
fabric covered aircraft , but I can't see it to do the entire airplane!
Especially with a few thousand rivets to work around. That'd be a
nightmare!

If anyone is at the point where they are looking at buying an engine, I
have a Rotax 912 UL 60 hours total time since new, plus a Woodcomp Klassic
three blade prop 30 hours total time since new, plus a Rieff rotax engine
preheater for sale on Barnstormers for $14,900. The engine is currently
being gone over at the rotax dealer to make sure it is perfect.
