Has anyone had any experience covering their plane with vinyl.- I can't s eem to think of any reason this would not be a good idea.- Cheap, won't d etach,-lasts at least 10 to 15 years, many variations in colors and desig n, light in weight, can remove easily and redo if you become tired of your design.- Almost seems like cheating.- Vann Covington, 701 North Carolina.=0A=0A=0A

I remember a post from Mark at CanZac saying that he paints his airplanes white and uses decals. The point was that you could re-decal easily and cheaply when you wanted to change the look. The post may have been on the yahoo list? The Hummelbird in the last Sport Pilot issue is all decals over polished AL. It looks pretty good. I've used vinyl decals for striping and accents on smooth planes like fabric covered aircraft , but I can't see it to do the entire airplane! Especially with a few thousand rivets to work around. That'd be a nightmare! ----- Original Message ----- From: "kmccune" <kmccune@somtel.net> Sent: Friday, March 06, 2009 7:22 AM Subject: Zenith701801-List: Re: Paint vs Vinyl > > I remember a post from Mark at CanZac saying that he paints his airplanes > white and uses decals.
