as photos?
Thanks

SmugMug does both video and photo hosting. I have not tried the video
portion, but the photo hosting is very excellent.
You could also use Vimeo for only the video portion and Picasa for the
photos. This would give you a free solution.
Good luck!

Subject: | How big is the kit? |
Benjamin,
I purchased an unbuilt kit, including a Rotax engine, from a guy who lived
above Fairbanks Alaska and trucked it from there down to California. My
understanding is that the original purchaser trucked it north from Mo.,
uncrated, on a single U-haul vehicle. To get from Alaska to the US, we
rented a heated hanger in Fairbanks and put all the pieces carefully into
about 5 crates, which we built. This took us 4-days. Then we purchased a
8'x16' flat bed trailer and ran it south. The load was about 3' high and
filled almost the entire flat bed surface. Only one piece was damaged enough
to have to discard.
I hope this helps you decide how to go.
Les

I built a simple 2x6 framed plywood box that was 4 ft by 12 ft and set it on
top of my borrowed open trailer. Most of the parts went in my Yukon and the
skins and spars went in the trailer box and then I just screwed the top
plywood on at the factory. I picked it up in two trips, but I doubt you'd
get the whole kit in one trip. The Fuse and Cabin parts are pretty bulky.
Good luck.

Subject: Zenith701801-List: How big is the kit?
<ben.queener@gmail.com>
I bought a kit and delivery is due in weeks, but I am thinking about picking
up my 701 instead of having it shipped. I was a little surprised at the
rates I would have to pay for a u-haul. I think when you count the truck,
the airline ticket to get there and the gas I would end up spending around
1800 to 2000. This would be about the same cost I pay for having the kit
crated and shipped.
Anyway, I have a wagon with a lot of space. By looking at the pictures on
the website I think I could fit all of the kit in my car except for the
larger skins and spar. I am thinking about putting a box on my car for the
longer pieces and throwing everything else inside.
So my question to you good forum folks is : How big is the kit? Does
anyone have a picture of a single kit ready for pickup? Is this a crazy
idea? Any other ideas?

Hi all,
What nose bowl is being used with the VW engine? I don't much like the looks of
the Vally Eng. cowl. Looking fore something nicer.

All, I received this from another yahoo group. It is just something that us fliers
should be aware of.
I have forwarded it to the 701 Yahoo group, and thought that it might be sent to
the Matronics list also.
(hopefully the link still works)
