To the ones of you that have finished you airplanes. What wording did
you use in the aircraft log book for the builders endorsement that the
aircraft is airworthy?
I have my inspection with the FAA next Tuesday and I'm putting all the
paper work together.
Thanks

Mark,
Insert a block or sticky label that has this paragraph in your aircraft
log book,
with the appropriate numbers,
I certify that the prescribed flight test hours have been
completed and the aircraft is controllable throughout
its normal range of speeds and throughout all maneuvers to
be executed, has no hazardous characteristics or design
features, and is safe for operation.
The following aircraft operating data has been demonstrated
during the flight testing: speeds Vso = --, Vx = --, and
Vy = --, and the weight = --- lbs, and CG location = --- in.
at which they were obtained.
Signed, __________________D_a_t_e_ ___________
This will satisfy your inspector FAA or DAR and the legalities.

Larry,
Thanks, I will need that one also. But this one is before the flight test
hours have been completed, stating that it was built to the plans, meets
whatever FAA requirements, and is signed by me that it is airworthy.
Thanks again.

Subject: | Re: Log book entry |
Mark,
The DAR who inspected my airplane had me make the following entry in my
Aircraft Log Book before inspection:
"I have finished building this airplane and it is ready for
Airworthiness Inspection. My signature/date". After he issued my
Airworthiness Cert and Operation limitations, he wrote below my log book
entry "I have inspected this aircraft and found it to meet the
requirements for the certificate requested. Signed/DAR#"
You may wish to enter whatever the DAR/FAA inspector wishes when he/she
arrives for the inspection.
