Subject: | 701 for Sale No Engine |
I have the hibble to start a new project, and I plan to keep my Rotax
912UL for the next project, so I currently have my 701 for sale on ebay
without the engine or FWF. The reserve price is set at well below the
cost of the parts. NO engine, prop or FWF included. You can save 1200
hours of building, the cost of tools, and a few thousand over the cost of
the kits. You also have the full range of engine options for the airframe
(there are several used Rotax engines currently available on Barnstormers
for pretty good prices, people are also seem to be having good luck with
the VW engines, which are really inexpensive). The airframe flew
beautifully, very light and responsive on the controls, straight as an
arrow. The ebay number is: 200321407977.

Hello Group:
I have heard that, under certain circumstances, Zenith has approved a
max gross weight above 1100 pounds. Does that have to do with how the
plane is flown ?
Regards,
Damien

Yes Damien,
Unless youre flying a Russian YAK (24 +/-Gs), its never the day to be
doing hard pull-ups or harsh maneuvers or flying fast in convective air
with a loaded aircraft. Its not even keen when your total weight is
within the guidelines of specifications. When you fly max weight or even
less, be tender in handling controls even after substantial fuel is
burned off. Your safety net is proportionate to the load you carry, so
always fly with the thought that it matters most to those most critical
parts which includes your butt.
