Vic, Jon Croke has a pretty good idea about building the root fairings on one of his wing build DVD's He said to cut the material along the spar line and splice it together. I did it on my new 701 and it worked pretty good. If you don't have his wing DVD you might want to get it. Tommy Walker in Alabama Do Not Archive The wing root fairings were the other frustrating things for me to build! After building 4 or 5 different ones, I still haven't got them right. Finally gave up and put em on.... ----- Original Message ----- From: Victor Menkal To: zenith701801-list@matronics.com Sent: Tuesday, April 28, 2009 12:13 PM Subject: Zenith701801-List: Wing tip instal The term mayday used for signaling for help (after SOS), comes from the French word m'aidez, which is pronounced "may day" and means "Help Me."

Hi all. Ill be attending the EAA workshops in High River (Calgary) this weekend. I would just luv to be able to look at a completed 701 in the Calgary vicinity if anyone would be so kind (and brave) as to let a bush hippy paw all over their plane. A quick look would be a great help with some items such as fuel line routing and now (thanx to Rob) :) the wing root covers etc. Ill put out for the coffee and donuts and I may even find a slab of smoked salmon in my flight bag. Thanx Cpt Victor Menkal CH701 tail finished, wings almost, just about, done Whitehorse Yukon
