I checked the edge distance for the last rivet hole and it's right at 9.3mm (see photo). It's not 10mm but it's more than the 2x the diameter which the AC 43.13 dictates. Interesting that you had a similar problem. I may just trim one side to match the other just for appearances sake. Can anyone else see Phil's response to this question yesterday? It came as a blank email in my inbox. I'm wondering if it's yahoo giving me trouble. Thanks. Each question has a photo to go with it. Question 1: If you notice from the photo, the edge of the very forward bottom corner of the skin appears to be uneven. What I mean is that when the skin was cut out at the factory it appears there was not enough material in the sheet it was cut from to make the skin? It looks like it runs out of sheet at the bottom. Is this normal? Question 2: The bottom of my rudder skin was cut by the builder assist facility I took delivery of the tail kit from. Looking at photo two, the very rear edge near the fold was not cut straight but in an upward fashion. The builder manual says cut along the pre-marked line but since it was already cut I don't know where that line was laid out. Is this right? Thanks guys. I look forward to hearing from you. These work very well. Not hard to install either. Brakes have to be broken in. The first weeks of taxi testing and static run ups it was hard to get the brakes to hold, even with the "master kit improvement" installed. Now that the brakes are broken in, I can nearly drag the tires if I apply too much pedal pressure. The kit is a much lesser cost than new wheels and brakes, so I'd take another look if I were you. It is available from Matco, they call it an intensifier kit. It works great, but you do have to break in the brakes, they don't work very well for the first few hours.
