I wish I would have had that info or thought of that technique while I was forming
my ribs, etc. I think I ended up splitting the forming bocks at least twice
to apply the flutes with my fluting pliers. It would have made the process
go much quicker and easier if I had been able to just leave the ribs in the forming
blocks while pounding down the flanges. It all worked out though.

[The 3/8 in rod ( I use the skinny end of a small ball peen hammer handle) is pounded
into the formed flutes on the block. This makes very nice flutes and is
pretty easy and quick. I've only used the fluting pliers ( home made ones) for
flattening the rib after it is out of the form block.][/quote]
