Chuck,
I used Aeroquip 666 Hose for fuel lines running through the cockpit on my
Zenith 701. It is stainless clad Teflon hose. If I recall, the hose has no
shelf life (read you don't need to replace it for a long time) and the
fittings can be opened as often as you wish. The downside is that it's
expensive and its difficult to push-on the hose over normal (cheap)
fittings. You can purchase the hose and screw-off fittings specifically
designed for this hose at Aircraft Spruce.

I'm wondering what might be the best way to run fuel lines through the
cabin. The plans don't specify material but Zenith supplies rubber hose with
the kit. Would a solid material be better? Rubber should be ok as long as it
is changed for new every so often. Aluminum or steel can crack from
vibration. Rubber cad dry-rot and is easily cut.
I want an easy way to disconnect the fuel line at the side skin in order to
remove the wing. What about fittings? there are many types to choose from.
How do I get through the firewall? Does anyone know where I can get a good
explanation of all this?
