Subject: | Re: rubber edging around windshield and wing roots |
Ernest,
The www.lockwood-aviation.com trim that I wrote you about is on page 140 of their catalog. My catalog is a couple of years old, so the page number might not be the same in the current. Their web site is a little hard to use so I generally just call when I want something that I can't find on Aircraft Spruce. The trim that I got is made of black rubber. I got the Pebble finish, 5/8" wide. Part# TR1*, which is aluminum reinforced. The cost is .75 per foot.

Subject: | Hole size in 701 cabin frame |
The 701 drawings specify drilling holes in the cabin frame with a No. 40 bit. to
attach the window . The window screws are much larger than the No. 40 "holes"
. Are the holes drilled up in size to accommodate the screws ( about 3/16
diam ). I cannot find the answer in the drawings or the photo guide and am
reluctant to drill up the holes without guidance. What size hole ?
