Yep I agree it is also known as fuel lube its what I've been using for the last
20 years on fuel fittings works great.....Its also great for holding screws or
anything else on the end of your screwdriver when in tight places. Its sticky
stuff so if you need something held in place temporarily its what I grab first.

Just split the skin (lap joint) at the rib outboard of where the aux. tank goes
that way you have one section of wing skin that can be removed that will expose
both tanks and pluming behind the tank support and the plumbing at the main
tank..... fuel leaks are a pita and there is no better insurance than easy access
in my opinion
