Has anyone added springs to the rudder pedal nose gear linkage to help with centering the wheel when landing in crosswind conditions ? If so what kind of spring pressure, length or spring rate was used ? I have seen pictures that utilized spherical rod bearings attached to the pedals, cushioned with springs on either side where the strut rods pass through. It looks like a nice improvement, but I do not know what springs were used. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated by me and many others. Thanks, Don. -------- Zenith 701 #76120 Jabiru 2200A #2456 55 hours Sensenich Wood 64-PJ-36 Prop Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=292182#292182 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 07:54:32 AM PST US From: "George Race" Subject: Zenith701801-List: Chat Reminder Live Chat Room every Monday evening around 8:00 EDT www.mykitairplane.com If you own or are building a 701 take a look at my new Baggage Door Kit Now in testing and development My Products: www.mykitairplane.com/Products/ ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 08:14:49 AM PST US From: Larry Subject: Re: Zenith701801-List: Nose Gear Castering Springs Check my site. If you were to guess the pounds required to compress these springs, what would they be ? Thank You Larry. Hopefully more will respond to share their ideas.
